While every Mom out there loves her homemade macaroni necklace and card made with enough glitter and glue to last a lifetime, why not take it up a notch this year? Thinking outside the box to celebrate Mom in style is not only a only a good idea, it’s a must after the past year where she had to wear at least a few more hats – we’re looking at you, virtual school. With this in mind, we asked a few of our favorite Mom’s what their ideal Mother’s Day would look like, and here are the answers we got!
Kim L, Realtor Extraodinarire and Founder of the The Kimberly Lowe Group
In this busy real estate market where much of my time is spent outside of the house, my ideal Mother’s Day is spending uninterrupted time with my kids! This year my girlfriends and I planned a Mom and daughter staycation at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge on Saturday night to get in lots of girl time. Sunday morning I’ll get up early for a run and some quiet time, and then my husband and son will meet us for brunch. I plan on spending the rest of the day just enjoying my family without being distracted by anything!
Carole G, Owner/President Onyx Communications
My perfect Mother’s Day begins with an early morning Facetime call and coffee with my sweet Mom, followed by a bike ride, and my son not only making pancakes for me, but cleaning up afterwards! The rest of the day will be smooth sailing with lots of snuggles, a house that’s been cleaned by someone else, and dinner on the table without me lifting a finger!
Dana Z, Senior Marketing Manager
I work from home and feel like I rarely get out of the house, so my Mother’s Day celebration begins on Saturday with a facial, some much needed shopping with my bestie – because I’m over my quarantine look – and happy hour at a new Central Phoenix spot. Sunday is all about brunch with my husband and son at Windsor, and then maybe a nap!
